Citibet boosts distribution for Euro 2012 special

Following its launch in April 2012, Citibet, the free football betting magazine, has increased its distribution by a third to 100,000 issues for a Euro 2012 special on Thursday, 31 May, 2012.

In addition to its regular London operation, a significant number of copies will be distributed regionally, with Citibet teams present in Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham, say the publishers. Fans travelling to England’s friendly with Belgium at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 2, will also be targeted.

Previewing the upcoming tournament in Poland and Ukraine, Citibet’s Euro 2012 edition will feature the views of Gabriele Marcotti, with the Wall Street Journal and Times journalist and ESPN pundit signed as a columnist.

Marcotti will also appear on the panel at the inaugural Citibet Live event alongside Daily Star sports editor Howard Wheatcroft, Nigel Seeley from Bet Butler, the betting concierge service, and industry expert Matthew Glazier. The 2012 European Championships preview night will be held at Amber Bar in the City of London on Thursday, 31 May, 2012.

“The reaction to Citibet has been very encouraging from both readers and advertisers,” says Jim Sinstadt, Citibet PR and marketing manager. “Thanks to demand we’ve substantially increased the print run, to 100,000 copies, for this Euro 2012 issue and we will continue at that level when the new season starts in August.”

Citibet is funded, published and distributed by Citipost, one of the UK’s leading privately owned fulfilment and delivery organisations. It is available via hand-to-hand merchandisers at key London Underground stations and mainline terminals, as well as within magazine display units at corporate offices of financial, legal and marketing companies, pub and bar chains, news retailers and airports. Citibet is produced by Grand Parade and targets ABC1 professionals, who are typically male and working in the City and Docklands areas of London.
