Dennis Digital restructures team to focus on agencies

Dennis Publishing’s digital commercial operation has remodelled its structure to focus on core agency groups.

Gary Rayneau will step up from Head of Digital Sales to Deputy Managing Director of Advertising, overseeing the operational division at Dennis Publishing. He will continue to shape the commercial digital strategy at Dennis with a particular focus on product, brand and people development, dovetailing with his role on the Dennis Digital board.

Gary Rayneau, Deputy MD of Advertising, said: “Dennis operates in highly competitive and mature vertical markets including technology, automotive and news. To find out how we could improve our service to agencies and clients we conducted an industry-wide survey. After analysing the results we have acted quickly to ensure our business adapts to the ever changing market.”

Elaine Dela Cruz will take the lead on Dennis Digital, as Head of Digital Advertising. She will be responsible for shaping the business commercially, improve and oversee client and agency trading and ensure Dennis remains at the cutting edge of digital advertising.

Dennis Digital, which boasts brands such as Carbuyer.co.uk, AutoExpress.co.uk, ExpertReviews.co.uk and TheWeek.co.uk, reported another record year in digital sales in 2014 with over 60% of advertising revenues across the business now deriving from digital, say the publishers.

Elaine Dela Cruz, Head of Digital Advertising said: “Dennis’ ad business has diversified successfully to adapt to the ever-changing digital market. We’ve always been a leader in display and content solutions across our brands and in recent years we’ve been successful in integrating new technologies and data to offer enhanced and audience-led solutions.

“Our new structure will equip us to continue to deliver the best service offering relevant, customised solutions that ultimately deliver ROI for clients. Each agency will have a Dennis Digital rep who will be responsible for driving relationships, ideas and creative solutions to planners and leaders within the agencies. Reshaping our team structure allows us to really get to know our clients’ businesses, providing a much more tailored and effective service for them.”

Dennis Publishing says it's invested heavily in its digital division, Dennis Digital. The news comes shortly after the creation of a stand-alone digital board at Dennis Publishing, responsible for technical delivery across the business, content strategy and digital investment.
