Gilly has more than 10 years’ experience in the fashion industry, gaining rich print and digital experience. At Now, Gilly has created new print, digital, video and event franchises including GlamCam, the 99p Wardrobe campaign and the Feel Good Fashion Awards.
Prior to her tenure at Now, Gilly held the post of style editor at Mirror Online, where she helped launch the site’s first style channel, and deputy style editor at Heat. Gilly started her career in journalism as fashion assistant at InStyle.
Mark Frith, Look and Now editor-in-chief, says: "It gives me great pleasure to announce Gilly's appointment. Her extensive, hands-on digital experience combined with a thrilling vision for the magazine made her the perfect candidate to lead Look into the next stage of its life."
Gilly adds: “Being the editor of Look is an enormous privilege and a role that I am tremendously excited about undertaking. I look forward to working with Look’s first-class team of style aficionados, helping them to take Britain’s bestselling fashion weekly into bold, engaging, innovative and ambitious new heights. The Look brand will be a hive of digital innovation, unique ideas and – naturally – a whole load of shopping.”
Gilly succeeds Ali Hall and takes up her new role on 01 February, reporting to Mark Frith.
