Now in their second year, the Amazing Women Awards champion celebrities, entrepreneurs, heads of industry, as well as women helping others in their communities, improving the environment and following their dreams, say the publishers.
The comfort footwear specialist Hotter Shoes is supporting the awards’ three special community categories - now branded The Hotter Community Hero - which give readers the opportunity to nominate unsung heroes in their communities. The partnership also sees the 60-year old shoe brand champion the ‘Don’t Tell Me I Can’t’ category, awarded to women who are doing exciting things and fulfilling their dreams.
“We understand that women over 50 are just getting started with their life’s adventures,” explained Hotter’s global omni channel director Victoria Betts. “It’s a time when they have more connections than ever before … children, and their children’s children; friends from work, hobbies and education; new careers.
"We’ve listened to our customers and they’re busier than ever before; they don’t have time to slow down, they are celebrating this latest stage of their lives – and they want to see other women doing the same. Which is why we’ve revamped our brand, we’re featuring models that look just like them and we felt this fantastic awards event was a perfect fit – just like our shoes!”
Finalist Shortlists for this year’s awards - which launch this month - will be announced by woman&home over the coming months with a call for Hotter Community Hero nominations featuring in woman&home’s May issue (on sale 4 April). In the same issue, Hotter features in an advertorial as well as three of May’s fashion spreads including its ‘Does This Suit Me section’, its ‘Fashion Edit’ section and its ‘Treat Yourself’ pages. A digital campaign will also be running online.
“womanandhome.com speaks to millions of women every month, and we’re thrilled to launch the digital campaign that will highlight the uplifting and inspirational stories behind this year’s Amazing Women Awards nominees,” said Kelly Bowerbank, group digital editor of women’s lifestyle at TI Media.
Kath Brown, editor of woman&home said that she was delighted to have Hotter on board as a brand that was equally committed to championing the achievements of women over 50 doing great things.
“The Amazing Women Awards is a campaign very close to my heart - it embodies everything we’re celebrating in woman&home. The stories the awards uncover are so moving - these are women not just achieving great things in the Arts and Business, they are also holding up their communities and doing great things at home. And we’re delighted to have Hotter on board because they’re passionate about celebrating these women too. It was the perfect fit.”
Winners will be decorated at a glittering awards ceremony later this year at a glamorous venue, which will honour business women and entrepreneurs, champions of the arts, social influencers, those working with children, women changing our country and celebrities doing good, says woman&home.
