On sale from 29 March 2017, the magazine is a new title for Pokémon-obsessed six to ten-year-olds.
Pokémon Magazine offers all the excitement of the Pokémon brand, says Immediate Media, including “brilliant puzzles, fun things to do, awesome facts, amazing posters, a cool comic and much, much more”.
Each monthly issue includes Pokémon-inspired covermounts; Issues 1 and 2 come with official Pokémon Trading Cards, giant pull-out posters and stickers.
Pokémon Magazine Editor, Peter Hart, says: “We’re so excited to be a launching the magazine for every young Pokémon Trainer. They’ve played the games, bought the books and toys, and watched the TV series, but now they can enjoy even more amazing adventures with Ash, Pikachu and friends in the Pokémon universe. We know children are crying out for this magazine and can’t wait to get it into their hands.”
According to Immediate Media, every page in the magazine encourages readers to immerse themselves in the world of Pokémon, whether tackling an interactive sticker puzzle or deciding who’ll win an epic Pokémon battle. Content is underpinned by sound educational values which support the national curriculum.
Pauline Cooke, Immediate Media’s Youth & Children Publishing Director, says: “There’s no official Pokémon magazine in the UK market, and nothing for this age group that not only unites boys and girls but also brings them to the world of Pokémon in a safe and engaging way. It’s amazing working a brand like Pokémon, with a 20 year heritage, that continues to be so highly adaptable and relevant to kids today.”
Pokémon Magazine will be available in all major magazine retailers, including Tesco, Asda, Waitrose and WHSmith, priced £2.99.
