Filmed at the recent NikeLab launch for Roger Federer’s new collection of off-court styles, the film presents Nick Grimshaw hosting a Q&A with Federer and GQ Style’s Fashion Director, Elgar Johnson, intercut with shots of the three going head to head in a table tennis match, using the NikeLab built interactive table tennis installation.
The film features Roger candidly speaking to Nick and Elgar about his passion for detail, the collaborative design process, his various sources of inspiration, and his take on tennis, culture and style – both on and off-court.
Dylan Jones, Editor of GQ and Editor-in-chief of GQ Style says, “We are delighted that NikeLab has chosen to collaborate with GQ Video and GQ Style for this film and it is a very fitting way in which to kick off the Wimbledon fortnight ahead.”
‘Federer Unlimited’ is created by Condé Nast’s dedicated Digital Video team, led by Danielle Bennison-Brown, working in close conjunction with Dylan Jones, Editor and Vanessa Kingori, Publisher of GQ.
Further GQ Video content released recently includes Power lunch with Jason Atherton, two series made in collaboration with Haig Club Single Grain Scotch Whisky – ‘Two Whiskies With’, an interview series hosted by Jack Whitehall; and ‘The One’, a six-part guide to mastering your perfect cocktail.
The GQ Video channel launched earlier this year following the successful launch of the Vogue Video channel in 2015. Wired Video has launched most recently and the Glamour channel will arrive later in 2016. Video content from all the branded channels will also be found on The Scene, due to launch later this year, creating a go-to hub for premium video editorial offering variety and depth, says Conde Nast.
