techradar appoints Darren Murph as Global Editor-in-Chief

Future plc has today announced Darren Murph as the Global Editor-in-Chief of their tech website techradar.com.

Darren has a 10-year history in global media and marketing, having previously served as the Managing Editor at Engadget (2006-2013), hiring and training over 20 members of the editorial team, doubling their traffic, quadrupling their live coverage as well as co-developing Engadget Expand and becoming the Official Online News Source and publisher of the ‘Best of CES awards’, says Future. He went on to become Senior Vice President of Editorial Strategy at Weber Shandwick (2013 – 2015). Darren will officially join the team on 1st March and will be based in Future’s New York office.

According to the publishers, Techradar is one of the world’s most popular technology news and reviews website, and with more than 20 million users globally, it is one of the most influential in tech. Techradar is a 24/7 operation that works from offices in London, Bath, San Francisco, New York and Sydney.

Darren joins the senior team of Patrick Goss, Editor-in-Chief, and Marc Chacksfield, Global Managing Editor, who continue to oversee the integral development of the UK operations which is core to the brand's global growth.
