ABC statement from Front

Front magazine has released the following statement in response to the recent release of the July-December ABCs:

“Front Bucks Trend in Men’s Magazine ABCs as Circulation Leaps 10%

• In its second ABC listing, Front Magazine is enjoying rapid growth with circulation increasing by 10.4% from the previous ABC period (Jan-June ’09), in contrast to its category rivals  

• Under new owner The Kane Corporation, Front’s 24th consecutive month-on-month increase marks a rise of 25%, from June 2007 (* COMAG figures: Issues compared June 2007 (31, 496) and June 2009 (38,291)

• ABC figures released today show circulation of 41,946, virtually all coming from active sales on newsstands in shops in the UK

Dominic McVey, CEO of The Kane Corporation, who acquired Front from SMG in August 2009 said: “We’re delighted with this our second ABC listing providing proof of our continued growth and unique position within our sector. It’s a testament to the continued hard work of our distributor, COMAG Specialist, and the outstanding ability of our editorial team who have created a fresh and independent men’s title on the rise.”

Since acquiring Front from Sport Media Group in August, The Kane Corporation, led by the UK’s youngest national magazine publisher, Dominic McVey and Francis Ridley, Managing Director of talent agency, Money, has significantly increased Front’s distribution through deals with independent retailers and major supermarkets such as Tesco. McVey is one of the UK’s youngest entrepreneurs, making his first million by the age of 15 by spotting, importing and selling micro scooters. In 2004 he was the youngest newcomer on the Sunday Times Rich List with an estimated worth of £7m.

Front Magazine is the fastest-growing men’s lifestyle magazine in the UK. Owned and published by The Kane Corporation, the magazine was acquired from Daily Sport publisher Sport Media Group last August. Kane is led by 24 year old millionaire entrepreneur Dominic McVey and Managing Director of talent agency, Money, Francis Ridley. Front, which is aimed at 18 to 25-year-old men, is sold both in the UK and overseas with a £3.80 cover price.”
