Forbes has released the eighth annual 30 Under 30 Europe List, celebrating the latest class of young entrepreneurs, disruptors and rising stars from across Europe. The class of 2023 includes changemakers from actors to sports stars to entrepreneurs, all under 30 years old, who are inspiring change and driving innovation in their respective fields.

Among those featured on this year’s list are F1 driver George Russell; Wet Leg stars Hester Chambers and Rhian Teasdale; Manchester City footballer Erling Haaland; White Lotus star Simona Tabasco; singer-songwriter Fred Again; influencer and fashion entrepreneur Matilda Djerf; and founders of Earthrise Studio Jack and Finn Harries.

The average age of honorees on this year’s list is 27 years old, says Forbes, with 72% being founders or cofounders of companies including Hummingbird Ventures, NutriPaw and TryHackMe. Many of the rest are actors, musicians or athletes who are building their own brands. Collectively, members of this year’s list have raised over $3 billion in funding and the top celebrities on the list have a combined social media following of over 92 million.

The ten categories are Social Impact, Entertainment, Retail & Ecommerce, Sports & Games, Science & Healthcare, Media & Marketing, Art & Culture, Manufacturing & Industry, Technology and Finance.

To compile the 30 Under 30 Europe list, each Under 30 honoree goes through an in-depth evaluation process, leveraging the collective wisdom of the Forbes Under 30 community, as well as the wide-ranging expertise of Forbes’ editorial teams and a panel of judges including: singer-songwriter Joy Crookes; CEO of the Financial Times John Ridding; founder and creative director of Colette Sarah Andelman; beauty entrepreneur and Bliss Spa founder Marcia Kilgore; and chair of the International Board of Amnesty International Dr. Anjhula Mya Singh Bais.

“These 2023 Under 30 Europe listers are solving many important problems the world is facing,” said Kristin Stoller, deputy editor of Forbes Under 30. “They’re combating climate change, fighting fraud, reinventing the banking industry and better treating infections. Take Social Impact lister Alisha Fredriksson, who is working to slash greenhouse gas emissions by pollutant-heavy ships. Her company Seabound is building a carbon capture device that traps up to 95% of ships’ CO2 emissions.”

This year’s class of 2023 will join Forbes’ global Under 30 community, which comprises more than 10,000 connected gamechangers worldwide (including more than 2,000 in Europe), who have featured on previous lists and are using their entrepreneurialism and passions to drive positive change and make their mark on society and the world.

The list is being unveiled today at the Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi, which features speakers including Hillary Rodham Clinton, Olena Zelesnka, Ayesha Curry and 2023 Under 30 Europe lister Rochelle Niemeijer.
