Celebrating its 18th year, Glamour UK says the event will honour powerful, inspirational and trailblazing women with sponsorship by Samsung Galaxy Ring.
According to the publisher, this year’s Women of the Year (WOTY) will be held at Raffles London at the OWO, welcoming a roster of honourees, presenters and guests for an evening of dinner, drinks and live performances. Last year’s winners included Millie Bobby Brown, America Ferrera, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Halle Bailey and Lily Allen.
Glamour UK says Samsung Galaxy Ring will sponsor the 2024 event, marking a third consecutive year partnership. The collaboration between brands since 2021 has yielded incredible results, with last year’s event seeing organic views to Glamour’s WOTY content grow nearly 300% on the previous year’s figure, added the publisher. Glamour says also welcomes Reckitt as a new supporting partner this year and Renault as its official automotive partner.
The 2024 Women of the Year Awards aim to pay tribute to the trailblazing women who have raised their voice, challenged the status quo and incited change throughout their careers.
This year, Glamour says it’s Women of the Year celebrations will be taking place across 5 countries, U.K. US, Germany, Spain and Mexico and will be celebrating two global award winners who will join an array of local market awardees. Glamour US will host its 34th annual event on 8th October, and Glamour Germany will host its celebration on the 6th of November. Glamour Germany and Mexico will host their events on November 12th and 13th, respectively.
Deborah Joseph, european editorial director at GLAMOUR said: “Since my first ever Women of the Year Awards four years ago, I have had the privilege of seeing a long line of incredible women take the stage, honoured for their activism, influence and courage. Each year I have been inspired, energised and filled with hope for the next generation of women. This year will be no different as we’re going bigger than ever to honour the activists, record-breakers and game-changers at the centre of the conversation on women’s equality. ”
Annika Bizon, director of marketing, Omnichannel & Head of Ireland - MX Division, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Glamour Women of the Year Awards for a third year, an iconic event that spotlights some of the most incredible women driving real change in today’s world. I have personally been inspired by so many of the women who have been honoured, and cannot wait to see more of these trailblazers take the stage.”
The publisher says the Women of the Year Awards will also be commemorated with special digital covers, which will be released on the lead up to and immediately following the event.
