Girl Talk Art launches as monthly title

After the success of the Girl Talk Art one-shot in February, Immediate Media Co has further strengthened its portfolio by launching Girl Talk Art as a monthly title, on sale now.

Priced at £2.99, the interactive magazine is aimed at the 1.1m 7-12 year old girls in the UK who love drawing, painting, craft and learning new skills.

As the only magazine in the market entirely about art and crafts for pre-teen girls, Girl Talk Art is packed with a range of simple and creative ideas. Each issue will contain step by step guides on how to create items to make and wear, ideas for bedroom décor and gifts, plus art techniques to learn and drawings for the reader to complete.

This aspirational title will feature interviews with top artists and fashion designers; the first issue includes advice from artist Rob Ryan in an article about paper-cutting. Each issue will offer high-value covermounts and stickers. Issue1comes with a free ‘Fashion studio set’ containing a mannequin and fabrics, gems and sequins.

Bea Appleby, Editor of Girl Talk Art, commented: “We are really pleased that the Girl Talk Art one-shot has been so well received. There has been such an enthusiastic response from our readers who love being creative and use Girl Talk Art to expand their interest. We aim to create a lively magazine which I’m really looking forward to developing further to help make art fun and accessible for young girls.”

Martin Stahel, Associate Publisher commented “Arts and crafts is a massive hobby for girls aged 7-12 with 58% of them expressing their creativity through drawing, collaging, fashion design and many other mediums every week. Girl Talk Art is set to expand the girls’ magazine category with something unique for new and existing magazine buyers.”
