Marketforce launches Apex

Marketforce has announced the launch of Apex, the next generation in magazine allocation systems.

Ben Oakden: “For publishers the launch of this next generation system comes at a time when inflationary pressures are driving up manufacturing costs and every copy within their distribution profile has to count.”

Launched in May, Apex is the culmination of a major technical infrastructure project to design and deliver the next generation in magazine allocation systems, says Marketforce.

Apex is a Marketforce proprietary technology system, a fully bespoke development based on their expertise and requirements. The system provides complete control of magazine allocations at outlet level, delivering dynamic demand planning, allowing them to optimise sales and profitability for both publishers and retailers alike, added the company.

Ben Oakden, retail category director, Marketforce said: “For publishers the launch of this next generation system comes at a time when inflationary pressures are driving up manufacturing costs and every copy within their distribution profile has to count.

“For retailers, this means improvements to allocated supplies for each and every retail outlet, including outlet level seasonality algorithms that will more effectively realise seasonal demand in stores all year round”.

Marketforce says it is utilising and leveraging Apex’s new capabilities to support the magazine market at the newsstand for all stakeholders. With in house support and development resources, further enhancements are planned to benefit publishers and retailers.
