Patrick Fuller to leave Haymarket

Group director Patrick Fuller is to leave Haymarket Media Group after more than two decades in the consumer division.

In a long-planned move, says Haymarket, Patrick is going to take a break from work before pursuing opportunities in digital brand consultancy.

David Prasher, managing director of Haymarket Consumer Media, said: “We've known about this for some time and Patrick agreed to help to settle us into our new home in Twickenham before starting this new chapter in his life.

“He has been an integral part of Haymarket, first as a journalist and then as a publisher, for more than 20 years and leaves a lasting legacy. We'd like to thank him for his substantial contribution to the division.”

Patrick Fuller joined Haymarket in 1993 as a sub-editor on Autocar, then served under Mark Payton on What Car? before becoming editor of Autocar from 1997 to 2000. He worked in various senior publishing and digital roles before leading the acquisition of PistonHeads with David Prasher. He was appointed to the global leadership board in 2009, responsible for the Automotive division, and spent three months in India last year, working with Hormazd Sorabjee and the team in Mumbai to create a strategic plan for the future.

“Haymarket has given me a wonderful 20 years working with the best people on the best brands in the business,” said Fuller. “Editing Autocar, acquiring PistonHeads and reinventing whatcar.com are just some of the highlights. I leave a brilliant team in place and wish them, and Haymarket, every success in the future.”

Patrick will work up to Christmas and his last official function will be the What Car? Awards on 13th January.
