Forbes yesterday announced several executive promotions in the revenue and digital organisations.

Forbes’ Chief Digital and Information Officer, Vadim Supitskiy appoints Taha Ahmed to Chief Growth Officer, David Johnson to Chief Data Officer and Sameer Patwardhan to SVP, Technology. All reporting into Vadim.

Forbes’ Chief Revenue Officer, Sherry Phillips announces strategic promotions in the revenue organisation including Leann Bonanno to SVP, ForbesLive & Marketing, Abbey Smith to SVP Account Management, Kyle Vinansky to SVP, Global Sales and Marissa Brown to VP, North American Sales. Leann, Abbey and Kyle will report into Sherry.

Taha Ahmed is named Chief Growth Officer at Forbes where he will oversee development, investments and consumer growth strategy at Forbes. Taha, formerly the SVP of Corporate Development, Strategy and Consumer Growth, will continue to manage all portfolio investments, as well as key growth and strategic initiatives across the company.

David Johnson is appointed as Forbes’ first-ever Chief Data Officer. Since joining David has helped to transform Forbes into a data-driven organisation, putting data at the centre of every business, says Forbes. He has successfully led the creation of ForbesOne, Forbes’ proprietary First-Party Data platform. David will continue leading data across the company and managing Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Products and Insights teams.

Sameer Patwardhan has been promoted to SVP, Technology. Sameer has led Forbes' successful migration to the cloud and driven automation across the organisation with emphasis on cloud native and serverless. In addition to leading DevOps, Security and Corporate IT, Sameer will be also heading Engineering and QA.

Sherry Phillips announces executive promotions in the revenue organization that will, says the company, strategically position the team for continued revenue growth.

Leann Bonanno, formerly Group VP of ForbesLive, is promoted to SVP ForbesLive and Marketing. Forbes’ global events business continues to be an integral part of Forbes’ revenue and growth strategy. Leann has played a pivotal role in expanding Forbes’ events business to new markets around the world. In her new role, Leann will continue to build Forbes’ suite of cross-platform products to deliver engaging experiences for commercial partners.

Abbey Smith, who has been at Forbes since 2010 and launched Forbes’ first ever Account Management team in 2019, is promoted to SVP, Account Management. Abbey leads the Sales Planning and Account Management teams. As SVP, Abbey will focus on evolving the process that streamlines client communication and program execution by implementing a first-class Integrated Program Management team, which is essential for Forbes’ top line growth.

As SVP of Global Sales, Kyle Vinansky will oversee the entire global sales operations for Forbes. Kyle will continue to leverage his strong relationships with top brands and agencies globally to drive revenue across an integrated portfolio of digital media, branded content, research, live and virtual events, social, video and print. In his new role, Kyle will focus on aligning the strategic priorities of Forbes’ sales teams around the world while expanding global relationships with brands operating in multiple international markets.

Marissa Brown has been promoted to VP of North American Sales, reporting to Kyle Vinansky. Marissa has nearly a decade of experience at Forbes and most recently led sales for the ForbesLive platform. She has a proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar partnerships, delivering new business and positioning the organisation for growth, says Forbes.
