New deputy editor and re-design at Guitarist

Guitarist, Future’s leading guitar magazine, announces the appointment of David Mead as their new Deputy Editor, and unveils a fresh new look to the magazine.

David Mead is one of the most respected journalists in the guitar industry. An acclaimed author of guitar playing books, which includes the critically lauded Crash Course Acoustic which became a worldwide-bestseller. He has also been responsible for several guitar tuition apps for tablets and smartphones, and is a highly experienced and widely respected guitar tutor. A busy recording artist, David has also made two highly praised albums of guitar music, including 2010's Arboretum, say the publishers. 

Formerly an editor of both Guitarist and Guitar Techniques, and most recently a major contributor and reviewer for Acoustic Magazine, David will also assume the position of Editor of the quarterly journal Guitarist Presents Acoustic.

Guitarist's fresh new look is out now (issue 396). A new cleaner layout has more in-depth reviews and features will be accompanied by sumptuous photography. There will be more enhancements to the design in the forthcoming issues.
